Really like this wok with its flat bottom. It is large enough to make up stir fried veggies for several meals and then freeze them. I can reheat them for a quick fix great meal later. The instructions for seasoning its surface were easy to follow.

i have mine for about three months now and absolutely love it. I have used several ridiculously expensive nonstick Scanpans and also have several All-Clad 3-ply and 5-ply pans and none of them can perform as good as this inexpensive De Buyer. All-Clad stainless steel pans are great, but sticks like superglue. Scanpans do not last anywhere as long as advertised. The de Buyer is nonstick like a good old seasoned cast iron while being easier to handle. It heats up fast and evenly. It does rust and require more maintainence and care compared to other pans, but the extra work is definitely worth it.
If you enjoy cooking and are serious about your pans, this should be a valuable addition to your kitchen.

If you want a pretty pan to hang from your pan rack, this pan is not for you.
If you must stick your pans in the dish washer because you wouldn't think of cleaning them by hand, this pan is not for you.
If you would never put a pan away with even a drop of oil still evident, this pan is not for you.
If you always scrub your pans spotless because you can't stand any sign of prior use, this pan is not for you.
But...if you are the type of cook who is looking for a pan that you can fall in love with because she will perform like no other pan and you are willing to caress her just a little in return for the favor, then you have found your pan.
